Mixing Patterns

I don't have a lot to say other than that I've been blessed. God has been so good to me and I am so glad he gave me such a loving family on both sides of my life. I hope everyone gets a chance to experience the love that I receive everyday of my life. Have a blessed day and don't forget to be thankful for every thing you have and every thing you do not. Love you all XOX

Feeling the blues..

Have I already said how much I love Fall!?! Today was one of those days where even if I had ten layers on it still wouldn't be enough. Hopefully while we are in New Mexico we can see some snow since Texas is aliiiiittle late on the season thing. In less than 12 hours this girl will be home sweet home in Rio Rancho. There's something about being home that makes the holiday season so much more. Glad I get to spend this holiday with people I love. XOX Kelli

Fall Hues..and Holiday Dreaming

To All the Lovely People who put up with reading my blog; One more day and we will be heading to New Mexico to see my family!! Ahh i'm so excited :)

[Insert embarrassed cough] Anywho, this past weekend me, my husband and family in-laws went and saw the final Hunger Games. It was such a great ending to an intense and beloved series. I loved reading the books but theirs something about watching it come to life that makes a huge difference and impact. Also this weekend, my husband, Pugsley (my Bulldog) and I took our first Fall/Holiday pictures this weekend and I can NOT wait to show you guys! I honesty think my dog should be a model, he loooves the camera lol. Well, I will remind you all again not to crucify me this week when I put up a billion pictures of my family and our Holiday this week. Hopefully I can talk them into decorating right after thanksgiving since I am not spending Christmas with them. My husband and I will be going to my parents house a couple of days later since the Shiffletts are spending our Christmas in Galveston, Tx! I wish I could make two of me, that way I wouldn't have to split my time between my two amazing families. I will still be putting up some holiday outfits this weeks so stay tuned! Love you all! Dreaming of Home...

Once fall begins to set in my Holiday tingly sensors come on and they ruin my whole brain process. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas to come because it brings me even closer to the ones I love. In less than a week I will be heading to Rio Rancho, New Mexico to see my lovely family! It's been pretty hard living away from them because we are so close. I remember going to my aunt's houses for the holidays and just thinking to myself "it can't get better than this." Literally I have THE most loving, caring, giving family in the world and I wouldn't be the person I am without them. Of course they are crazy, and absolutely insane sometimes but the good always out ways the bad. So prepare yourselves because next week is going to be full of instagam pictures, lovey dovey posts about my crazy/wonderful family and a Holiday that centers around all the amazing things God has blessed me with this year! I love you all and pray that your holiday is full of thankfulness and love!

Oh, and an outfit post  ;)

Maybelline Matte Lipsticks

So today I decided to show you some of the lipsticks I bought from Maybelline that I LOVE and are super reasonably priced. I think most often the lipsticks that I do buy and tend to lean towards are Matte lipsticks. I am just not into the shimmery stuff because most of the time they are sticky and get on your teeth. At Walmart these lipsticks are priced for 4.97 which is prrrrrretty good! Also, they smell soooo good and are super creamy when applying them. So glad I tried them and got them.

Starting from left to right on my arm is how I am wearing them.
Except for the last two they are switched lol

#1 Ravishing Rose
#2 Rich Ruby
#3 Craving Coral
#4 Divine Wine
#5 Touch of Spice

P.S I am NOT a beauty guru whatsoever! Just sharing some of things I do as a normal, doesn't wear a ton of makeup, girl haha

Dress + Button Up

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week. It's also one of the saddest days of the week because you have to go to work the next day haha. But, God and church definitely out way the bad ;)

Especially with fall weather here and winter coming up, layers are a key component to my wardrobe. With not having a huge budget to buy new clothes, its essential to reuse the things I have to make them wearable during the colder months. So, by adding a button up underneath this dress it adds a little more warmth to this fall outfit.

Plaid for Days..

Not a lot of you know but I work as an Elementary school librarian. This week we are hosting our yearly book fair. So needless to say it has been stressful these last few days. For example, I went to school with no makeup because I decided not to get out of bed until 25 minutes before I had to leave. Yes, I am a procrastinator. I thought growing up would change that buuuuut it didn't ;) I don't know about any of you but I could wear plaid everyday of my life. It's probably like an addiction but I've already made it through the first step....admitting you have a problem lol. But to be completely honest, the days I feel like I have less time to plan, turn out to be my better hair or better outfit days than the days I do plan it out. Annoying I know!! So, to all of you out there that think it takes 1 to 2 hours to make something good out of yourself, you're wrong. You know why? Because God has already made you beautiful and THAT is good enough for me :) Love you all!

Fall Essentials Part 5

I love love love plaid! I feel like it can never go out of style lol. It's probably the pattern I have the most in my closet and I wouldn't have it any other way! It's so easy to dress it up or down and that's why it's my last Fall essentials this season. Love you all thanks for following along!! Thanks to my husband for taking these silly pictures haha

Fall Essentials Part 3

I think one of the main things I love about fall are the layers, and if you add patterns on top of that it's just...magic haha. I kind of overdid the patterns today buuuuuuut I had an excuse to wear my rain boots so who cares! But, in all seriousness, EVERYONE NEEDS a strip sweater and/or T-shirt. It will make all of those dull fall colors really stand out. They are practically in every store so you shouldn't have any trouble finding some :) P.S I had to add this picture of my dog in that I took yesterday. This is where I always find him, in his water bowl. 6 months strong for this little guy!

Fall Essentials Part 2

Alright loves today my Fall Essentials #2 items are............long cardigans! I really was kinda iffy about this new trend and especially only being 5'2 I didn't want it to make me look shorter. But none the less, I went out and bought one, actually two lol and I LOVE them!!! Since I only live in a town of 9,000 ish there's not a lot of options for shopping. So me and my AMAZING mother in law went shopping at another town about 45 minutes away. Not a huge huge town but they at least have a Target and a JcPenny's there. AND, the one i'm wearing I got for an amazing deal!! Right now its 10 off 25 at Jcpennys so this cardigan I'm wearing was regularly 70 but they were having a one day sale, the day I went, where it was 50% off. So after the normal price went down to 35 I got 10 off that, THEN I had another 10 of 25 from being on their rewards program so I ended up getting the sweater for 15 dollars! Confusing I know lol but so worth it!! P.S I live 9 miles out of town so thats why it looks like i'm in the middle of the woods!

Here are the links to the two cardigans I bought #1 #2
My shoes are from JustFab they are called "River" and everything else is from OldNavy

Fall essentials

Fall is one of my most favorite times of the year. There's just something beautiful about a tree dying lol. Anyhow, this week I'm going to be showing my top five essentials for this fall starting with....drumroll please..... sweater dresses! The thing I love about them is that you can just add a scarf, a belt and cute boots and you're good to go. Not a lot of thinking involved  AND it's easy to add tons of layers for the winter to come. I found this one at TJMaxx.

Here are some I love!  option #1 #2 & #3
